I just found out about BARF (we moved down in April), and just paid my dues after looking at the competitions.  I already have some of the beers aging/planned so the timing was perfect!  I'm looking forward to it.

That's fantastic! Welcome to BARF! If you have any friends that brew, spread the word. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 14th at the Five Points Farmer's Market in Norfolk. Bring some homebrew and join us at 7pm.

Great to have you. I'll try and make sure you are added to the email list.

I'm planning on being there.  I wish I could bring my Best Bitter - but it won't be carb'd in time.  What's the usual number of homebrew people bring to the meetings?  Also, how many bottles are needed for the competitions?

You need to enter two 12oz or one 22oz.

People just bring whatever they have on hand. Sometimes its nothing, sometimes its 2-3 growlers.
